Dr Mathew Staios
Directing Psychologist
Mathew trained as a clinical neuropsychologist and has experience working with a wide range of clientele, both in the forensic sector and in the community. He has extensive experience in the area of forensic neuropsychological assessment, conducting risk assessments within the forensic sector, and has acted as an expert witness in court.
Mathew is experienced in the area of cross-cultural neuropsychological assessment. He has conducted a number of assessment with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) clients and is sensitive to understanding the limitations of psychological test outcomes and providing culturally appropriate rehabilitation techniques.
In addition to working clinically, Mathew has a strong research background and has published a number of book chapters and scientific papers in international research journals. Furthermore, he also lectures in the undergraduate and postgraduate doctoral psychology training programs at Monash University.
